That fanfare would celebrate some of my favourite authors. If I feel down or troubled I read anything by Maygra, or Xanthe. They write no holds barred stuff - some of it very dark indeed. From Highlander, Magnificent Seven, Supernatural, or X Files - depending on which author you read, not light and fluffy, but somehow it always picks me up...the characterisation and sound foundations in the universes they create make that possible.
